I used to support the original Hakka restaurant at their Port of Spain location on Taylor Street. When they closed during the pandemic, I was saddened as the Express locations doesn’t hit the same, nor do I think the true Hakka experience translates well through their fast casual chains. When I heard Hakka Social opened in Brentwood Mall, I was excited to try it as they have an open air concept and a bigger menu compared to what was available in Woodbrook.
I am pleased to say that not only is the quality still consistent to what the Taylor Street location was, but it exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the Chili garlic noodles, Lollipop chicken, fried wontons, and the hakka fish. I went with two other friends who also shared the same sentiments.
+ PROS: -Outdoor and indoor seating with AC
-Has express seating
- CONS:- AC inside is very cold
- Washrooms are small
I love your delicious food, I get it atleast once a week. I am very impressed by the taste, quality and your service. I will continue to support.
