Although I visit Orlando once a year, I always make it my business to stop here. Their Trinidadian style Chinese Food is the closest thing I’ve had to Trinidad & Tobago.
Serious question: You ever had a food dream? Lemme tell you something, Shrimp wonton’s from Alvin’s gave my the most real food dreams ever. I went to bed one night imaging that I was devouring a dozen shrimp wontons. That’s how good these are. Chef Lystra does it extra trini style and dresses it up with garlic sauce, soy sauce, pepper sauce and Trini Swiss ketchup. I can finish a dozen of these easily.
I also enjoy their char siu kai fan, which is trini style roast pork, trini style chicken chicken with fried rice. Definitely some of the best Caribbean chinese food in Orlando.
+ PROS: - Great location within Caribbean neighborhood of Orlando
- Portion sizes are more than reasonable
