After the jolly spirit of Christmas passes Sugar Mas swoops in to pick up the scattered joyful vibes and amp t up a couple of notches. Masqueraders walk the streets as well as local folklore traditions. The Moko-Jumbie a tall man figure on stilts towers over the costumed dancers, dancing with ease without fear. The Clowns are part of St. Kitts folklore – dressed in eye popping jumpsuits it is said the clown masks have a connection to a French governor of the Caribbean.
